The state of the site

It has been too long. I always feel like I’m apologizing for not updating you, my reader.

I go through these moments where I get excited to share something with you, and then I lose the plot. I firmly believe in rest for rest’s sake so that I won’t overextend myself to exhaustion.

I’ll do what I can to the best of my ability, and I hope you’ll be along for the ride.

However, I’m ready to dive back into what I love: helping people like you.

Update 1: New theme!

I’m enjoying the Miniva theme so far. Let me know what you think in the comments.

Update 2: Downsizing

Not in the traditional sense. It seemed pointless to separate the free services I offer into standalone pages.

Now they’re widgets at the bottom of the screen (see below).

Update 2: Service offerings

I’ve done a lot of self-exploration as a writer and editor this past year. I decided to scale back my service offerings to focus solely on editing. I think I enjoy that much more from a service standpoint.

It’s soothing for me to take something that already exists and shape it into something extraordinary. My Services page is focused solely on editing an existing manuscript: poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, academic, and blog posts.

I also list specific rates but accept payment plans and discounts for my fellow writers of color.

Update 4: Printables

That’s right! I’m going to start offering printables. Some of the topics I plan to focus on are journaling, self-improvement, goal setting, and more. These are topics near and dear to my heart, and I’ll never offer something that I haven’t personally used.

I will revamp my Ko-Fi page to accommodate this new business venture of mine.

However, there are some freebies that I’ll offer as incentives for those who subscribe to Belles-lettres too.
